Hilco were approached by the owner of Millpack Pty Ltd. Millpack was set-up to make nut past which could be used for a range of health products including being used as a key ingredient in a nut milk. The manufacturing plant was set up in Carrum Downs and included late model assets:
Hilco faced the challenge of having to conduct a complete marketing and sale campaign within a short time frame of 8 weeks to enable the client to handover a clean site at the end of the 8 weeks. This would necessitate a 100% clearance rate from the sale.
The owner had sold the property and required all equipment to be sold and removed form the site within 8 weeks allowing for a clean handover of the site. The slicers were sold before the sale campaign for the auction commenced.
Hilco quickly analysed the opportunity and set up a process to maximise the return for the client. Firstly, Hilco’s team of highly experienced and knowledgeable asset specialists were able to critically review the assets, providing a useful report detailing an estimate. Hilco’s expertise in plant & machinery and onsite evaluation know-how provided its client valuable information when setting reserves on some very late model equipment. Secondly, Hilco invested in a specific targeted marketing campaign to maximise audience reach and suitable buyers of such specialised equipment. This was done for an initial quickfire Expression of Interest campaign followed by an online auction.
