West End Brewery has been in operation since 1859, making it a real South Australian icon and one of Australia’s oldest breweries.
In 1980, production moved to the banks of the River Torrens at Thebarton, where it continued brewing. With the announcement of the planned closure to the operating site, set for June 2021, an end of an era was declared as a part of the continued revitalisation of Adelaide’s inner west.
West End brewery underwent considerable restoration and renovation works in 2016, completed by contractor McMahon Services in 2015. The project won an award for Excellence in a Commercial Refurbishment / Redevelopment over $5 million.
The project included the restoration of an 85 year old brew kettle.
Available for purchase from this site are a wide range of young and refurbished beer, cider & RTD production equipment
We expect strong interest from Australian and international food and beverage producers, along with the growing beer brewing community.
